December 21st was a gorgeous clear night, a full moon and the winter solstice. Here is a picture from the beach near our place at around 8pm
Later on that night Darren and I (and my Mom stayed up for the first phases) pulled the all-nighter it took to watch the lunar eclipse. It was actually amazing!!!!! Here are two pictures we took from our basic camera, hope they show okay on the blog. It was just amazing to behold and totally worth the sleep loss.
